Topic of the Month "AIR POLLUTION"
In the modern era of advanced technology, where everything is automated and easy to access, there are many problems too because of such machinery/facilities Air pollution, the rapidly growing environmental problem in Pakistan. Reasons are highly inefficient use of energy, accelerated growth in vehicle population, increasing industrial activities without proper air emission treatment, open burning of solid waste like plastic, are some major cause of deterioration of ambient air quality.
Atmospheric pollution would be such a big problem, it harmfully effects on humans, animals, trees and the wider environment. Air pollutants enter in the body primarily through the respiratory system which thus becomes their main victim. Moreover, each air pollutant exerts their own specific adverse impacts, ranging from mild to really damaging. (Source-Google)
Air pollution is mainly major reason behind health problems lung cancer (absorption of smoke causes lung cancer in case of both either active smoker or passive smoker), heart diseases (harm to the heart resulting from an insufficient supply of oxygenated blood) are leading causes of death. Simply, air pollution is a factor that you can not control just through healthy lifestyle.
Therefore, to overcome such environmental issues like global warming, air pollution, unclean water etc Government should take these following steps
-Identify and establish appropriate policies on air quality
-Identify relevant legislative and regulatory requirements
-Identify all sources of air pollution caused by human activities
-Set appropriate objectives and targets for human & environmental health
-Set priorities for achieving objectives and targets
-Establish a structure and program to implement policies and achieve objectives & targets
-Facilitate the monitoring of air quality and effects on human health & environment
-Facilitate urban planning, corrective action and the prevention of adverse effects.
-And ensure compliance with emission and air quality standards

Setting standards for emission & implementing them strictly is the key to introduce checks on pollution. Large corporates must stretch their CSR to chip in with their contributions.
Well written, Nilesh!

Nilesh, industries should be regulated about emitting pollutants, and more efficient energy use should be researched as well. Each people's effort should be counted, but big companies emitting less and using fuels efficiencly can bring much greener results. Nonetheless, citizens should never stop to continuously promoting the danger of air pollutants. Thanks for your report and have a great day!

Just like illegal sewage dumping cannot be detected everywhere, pollutants emitting facilities would be hard to put under control unless there is a stable management and censor from the government's side. So i guess, mainly big industrial facilities possibly could be harnessed and the other routes by the people can only be blocked with more education and awareness on the matter. thanks for writing

I think chunk of the air pollution issue would be resolved if government sets emission norms for vehicles and factories. Government should encourage buying and using hybrid/electric cars, using public transport..Cars should be checked for their exhaust systems at the time of registration. Thanks for the great report Nilesh.
