Water wasting in my area |

Dear Eco-generation team and fellow Ambassadors,
As we all have known that, water has been an important resource of lives, meanwhile the level of water has also been decreased by the used of global citizens well as other natural disasters such as drought. So will it be effect to our future lives? Sure, it will! Not only in the future, but to the present too! But sadly, due to my survey on my neighbor and people in my area, for mostly they have not really understand about the important of water, and they are wasting it day by day without knowing the negative impact of their action in the next future. Just like these day, many people who live in medium income family start wasting water on throwing on each other in other just to have fun while the rest of people who live in slum area have no enough water to drink to survive. Due to this problem, I?m thinking of initiate a project in order to call for people to understand about the important of the water and stop wasting it, but I?m not sure what to do yet, and why should it be project? Well, because in my area only project can gather them to make a change. So if there are any ideas, you may suggest me in the comment under this article. Thanks you! Dear Oeng, I am so glad to see your concern and enthusiasm to initiate a project in sensitizing people in your area about importance of water. There are innumerable ways you can do it, according to your feasibility. Here are some of my suggestion:
Why not you display a video (documentary preferable) to show how people in other parts of water are struggling for drops of drinkable water/ how climate change is leading to desertification/ how agricultural production is decreasing due to drought and lack of irrigation.
I guess video would catch attention and then you can put forward a short presentation on why water counts this high for our biome

If you're asking about an idea for a project, how about biopori? A biopori is a hole dug 1 meters deep, and is covered by smashed up dry leaves. You can make a whole bunch of biopori with the range of 1 meters each.
A biopori can help water come down inside the earth, so when the drought season come, it won't be too dry. I've known from experience in my house. A few years back water didn't even come out in the drought season, but now it's not as bad, and there's actually quiet a lot.
I hope you could try this project out, cause I've even made biopori at school with my friends.

Very interesting idea! I'm doing a research project in school on water sustainability myself, and I'm thinking of the impact of water-borne diseases. That issue is certainly a critical one to have resolved as it leads to many diseases and even death. Let us know what you're interested in regarding water, as it is a broad topic. Thank you for the report!
