The County Government of Mombasa has kicked off the Mambo Safi Environmental Awareness Campaign with over 30,000 school children having taken the responsibility to keep Mombasa clean and green. Together with partners such as the Mombasa County Clean Up Committee, for the next 11 months they will embark on an education campaign to sensitize children on best practices on waste management, planting trees and embark on creating big green ideas from children that will be established across all neighborhoods in Mombasa.

In Country like Kenya, there is an urgent need of such and may be more impactful environment awareness campaigns. Thanks for sharing.

I believe that with the devolved level of governments in Kenya, more can be done to combat climate change and environmental sustainability.
