Environmental Clean- Up Exercise in Wajir County |

The Department of Environment, Energy and National Resources and Town Administration team embarked on an Environmental Clean-up Exercise.
This initiative was spearheaded by the Chief Officer for Environment, Muhuba Arte and Chief Officer for Decentralized Unit and Town Administration Abass Malim. The exercise was also attended by teams from the Department of Health, Red Cross, Wajir primary and Wajir high school students. The exercise will be conducted every month so as to create enabling environment for stakeholders and reduce diseases. |

Clean up exercise like this involving Chief Environment Officer, is sure a great move to send a strong message of importance of safe, clean and green environment. Regular cleanliness, you rightly mentioned, will eliminate chances of diseases and will ensure hygiene and sound health of residents. Thanks for sharing.

I believe that with the devolved level of governments in Kenya, more can be done to combat climate change and environmental sustainability.
