Cutting Down around roadside

Its good to utilize holidays in social work and its awesome when it is environmental i.e., my concerned field. It's been long I had been to home from Hostel and meanwhile Town Management Committee President- Durga Ghimire called me for Cleanliness, sanitation around roadside to minimize accident.

As an environmentalist, I reckon plantation not cutting down. But the situation is different today I was there to remove bushes and trees that were blocking the transparency on U-turn road on countryside like ours. And I am sad to write that, it is the main turning where 2 people lost their life in 5 years due to speedy vehicle. I don't know how is the system in other countries but removing of flora is ultimate option for us.

Management Committee had warned owners to remove or cut tree from roadside but they disobeyed since long and committee along with Police force, local people, environmentalist removed tree from roadside. Now, owner will plant tree leaving certain space for road.

People gathered to remove bushes so, as to make road clean, about 20-30 trees of different species so as to clear U-turn road and minimize accident in roadside. Thanks goes to all helping hand to make this program successful and impactful. Soon we will be planting trees maintain certain meter so as to balance this cutting down.

Well sometimes cutting down some parts can help revitalize the overall ecosystem, and in this case, I don't think it would have done much damage in the first place :D more over this was out of definite necessity! thanks for sharing!

Sujan, I know it must not have been good for you to cut down the trees. However, I believe what you did was not environemental destruction, but rescuing people from potential danger. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!

Although planting of trees along roadsides is good, there should be defined boundaries to prevent these trees from blocking the road and obstructing the view of drivers. Thanks for sharing.

with no other option left, your action is justifiable. The cutting of flora should be as a last resort. The article is such a great read. Thanks for sharing.

I can imagine, as an environmentalist, as promoters of trees, it must be so painful to cut trees but in this kinda situation there is no other option else these trees in the road may lead to accidents. Thanks for sharing.
