The spirit of giving in Ramadan Iftar meals for Dubai Scrap Collectors by Simran Vedvyas and SynergY |

When Ramadan starts, people in the Arab world begin a journey together. Once again, the awaited and blessed month of Ramadan is here to witness the magic of what happens when people come together. Believing in what is said by Sir Winston Churchill We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give. and as confident supporters to strengthen community spirits, SynergY supported by Dubai Municipality carefully planned the Convoy to Feed 2013 visiting the Dubai Municipality Al Qusais Landfill this weekend. As a start-off 130 food packages were distributed to benefit the scrap collection labors and DM staff & labors working in this site with Iftaar Meals and food items like cereals, tea, labaan and water this Ramadan 2013. Choithrams also joined hand with SynergY in support. Dubai Municipality officials present appreciated the initiative taken by SynergY for arranging the Iftaar meal for the labors who are working in harsh conditions in the Landfill area. Going without food, drink, snacks and other habitual amenities from before sunrise to after sunset is observed on a daily basis for the whole month, breaking the fast after sunset is a real delight. Since it is a challenge not to overeat at that time, hence SynergY members also promoted the important message to reduce food wastage Think East Save during this time. As Founder of SynergY, says Simran Vedvyas-I chose Dubai Municipality landfill sites because we planted several trees in the past at one of the landfill and understood how much of hard work these people do for us and this would be our way to express gratitude and share time with them during the holy month of Ramadan. Ramadan is a warm month for most of us there are still millions of people who have a very tough month ahead of them. But there is light at the end of the tunnel, if we keep coming together as a community it will definitely strengthen harmony. Though we all believe and promote MDG 's this Convoy to Feed is not meant to make anyone feel poor or this activity on humanitarian ground believes to strength Community Spirits.
I specifically write this as SynergY and I does not want to hurt any sentiments.
