I think success and happiness are closely aligned together.One cannot be successful whereas he is not happy.If you are successful without happiness, you are lacking.I also believe that success is a journey but rather not a destination. The Oxford dictionary defines success as: a favourable outcome, accomplishment of what was aimed at, attainment of wealth or fame or position. Thing or person that turns out well. I was raised to believe that to be successful I needed to be driven and goal oriented and to be the best at everything I did also that as soon as I achieved a goal, it was time for me to set my sights on, and then attain the next, bigger goal. There was no time along the way to stop and acknowledge what I had accomplished. My definition of success was tied to income, academic achievement, and position and to carry on with consistency on achievement. Was I successful? Yes. Was I happy? It was never a consideration. Based i could say success comes from being happy with what your are, what you do and what you gain. My motivation is passion and happiness coupled with appreciation.

Thank you for sharing you insights :) I agree with your opinion. We are sometimes driven to make astonishing accomplishments and be successful. However, we seriously have to consider our own happiness also. I have also learned from my experience that the merrier you are the more successful you are!
