The festival is the main event covered by the theme of sustainability in Brazil. It is called "Virada Sustentável". The first event happened in São Paulo city. Then, in Manaus (Amazon), Valinhos and Porto Alegre. The ideia is to gather public organizations, companies, academia and all other entities to think and be aware about environmental issues. The concept of this year festival is based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by United Nations. This year, 2016, the event happened from 25th to 28th of August and the concepts of the SDGs were displayed in subway, parks, streets and malls. During these days, people could see around the city a lot of sustainable concepts such as no hunger, energy and water for everyone, gender equality for a society, conservation of life on land, education and about climate change. WOW! It's quite nice to have festival like this focussing on SDGs , aiming to raise awareness on sustainable solutions and connecting people linked to the sustainability sector in Brazil. Thanks for sharing.

Wow thanks Luiz for sharing great events in Brazil! It is nice to hear that Brazil is opening such festivals to promote environmental sustainability and so on. I wish to hear more what Luiz have done during this period. Anyways, have a great day!

Thanks for the report Luiz! So if my understanding is correct, the festival is not only about environmental sustainability but rather covers wider spectrum of the concept including social, economic sustainability, even better! I wish the event inscribed the value of sustainability to the minds of Brazilian people! Thanks for the report.
