Green Fingers Vietnam is a non-profit young team working for sustainability and environmental education among young people in Vietnam. Green Fingers Vietnam is an initiative sponsored and supported ASEAN Youth Volunteering Program (AYVP) 2015 Multiplier Effects. Green Fingers Vietnam represents the efforts of a responsible Vietnamese young generation who tackles social challenges creatively and effectively. With the motto ?It?s easy being green!?, they combine various activities such as creating recycled products from plastic in innovative and user-friendly ways, running awareness campaigns, organizing educational workshops and more. They constantly look for interested partners, supporters and volunteers to expand our impacts and spread our message about waste values and recycling.

Their first project was ?EduPlant?, supported by AYVP. From March to July, 2016, they conducted a range of environmental and recycling workshops for primary students in Hanoi. In addition, they collaborated with café shops in order to gather takeaway plastic cups, bottles for the recycling purposes. Such materials were recycled by their members into decorated tree bottles with ?green? messages attached. Then, they sold their products to raise funds for lessons, campaigns with a view to raising public awareness about their objectives and activities.

After their hard efforts, GFVN members are passionately spreading wide their ?green? actions through their official fanpage. Their first event took place in Nghia Do park, Cau Giay district at 15:00 on March 20, 2016. After selling their recycled products, they contributed the profit to their own environmental classes, campaigns.

Wow thanks for introducing Green Fingers and wonderful pics as well, Anh! Before now, I had the moment when I was surprised that a lot of people do not recycle because they do not know how to. Providing education seems like a great idea. Thanks for sharing!
