In Haiti, there are not many organizations which work on Environmental issues. It?s explained by the weak ways that are available for facing up the environmental troubles in this country.  But one thing that we can believe is these organizations that will be presented below are doing their best to face up the challenges despite their weak opportunity.

?Collective of students?

Collective of students is an Organization which is working to improve the environmental condition through the students. In this Organization, they do formation for students in high school and university also. This Organization is working to improve in sustainable way the quality of population especially the farmers in Jacmel (Region located in the South Est of Haiti) by fighting against Environmental degradation process and by working to reestablish and redevelop the earth devastated by erosion. PARASOL does formation for the farmers in the area in order to teach them how to practice a rentable agricultural system, by reducing negative effect on the environment. They work on soil conservation, reforestation in the mountain to prevent erosion.

Mouvement Écologique les Macayistes (MEM) =Ecological movement of « Macayistes »

This Organization is promoting the conservation and protection of the environment. They are working especially on the preservation of the biodiversity in Haiti. Its members are working to preserve the plants and animals species in Haiti. They do formation for people to teach them how important is to stop the deforestation and the hunt of animals.

Mackenson, thanks for sharing about the environmental organizations in Haiti! Learning from school or other educational institution is of course important, but I believe communicating with people who have similar interest gains same importance as well. Thanks for sharing, and have a great day!
