Dear Tunza E-gen family, it is happy to announce you that there are number of environmental organizations in Sri Lanka who are putting a great effort on protecting the environment. Here are a handful of them

• •  Central Environmental Authority of Sri Lanka- This is the major environmental organization in Sri Lanka, operates with the objective of integrating environmental considerations in the development process of the country.
• •           Young Biologists? Association (YBA)
• •          Nature Conservation Society (NCS) - This is a NGO act as a mediator between the nature and the local population and tourists through saving the unique nature and creating a healthy environment for the local communities.

• •          Sri Lanka Wildlife Conservation Society
• •         Help- O Sri Lanka- This is a non-profit organization which is aiming at developing and balancing human and environmental progress in rural as well as urban areas, focusing on the low-income community.
• •          Wildlife and Nature Protection Society
• •     Young Zoologists Association (YZA) - This is a voluntary youth organization which is having a slogan of ?Let?s Protect Nature?.
• •         Green Building Council of Sri Lanka
• •        Center for Environmental Justice (CEJ) – This is an initiative to promote environmental good governance and environmental justice in Sri Lanka.

There are many other government, non- government and youth environmental societies operate in Sri Lanka which are not mentioned above. The above mentioned are very few of them.
