Recycle & Recover

Dear fellow Eco generation ambassadors, a warm greeting from The Middle East. Through this report I will describe about some of my consistent campaigns for recycling since past many years. They are Recycle – Thon and 3R?s Pick and Drop Green Box . As many of you will be aware that I am founder of an Initiative for The mother Earth named as Serve The Earth.

Recycling is the savior for green movements all across the globe and it is such an act that even a single leaf of paper, one plastic water bottle & a can of fizzy drink matters to save the environment.

Landfills are getting clogged day-by-day and all the countries on this planet are facing a mammoth task of keeping the waste away from landfills. In my region major efforts are carried out to keep the waste away. They recycle all of the sewerage water generated and use it for watering the landscaping. Apart from this paper, plastic, cans, cars, rubber tires & what not is recycled in one of the biggest facilities in the region.

In this context and being motivated by these drives, my humble efforts contribute to this cause. My team mates are also dedicated and committed to the core. Every week we collect the recyclables at a focal point & submit the same to recycling centers managed by the government. Also at the beginning of each academic year we exchange books between junior & senior grades and thus refrain from buying new books. It saves the environment & cost also.

These drives have motivated many others to follow suit & conduct similar campaigns in the neighborhood. I feel extremely delighted as it is the output that matters.

I am sharing some pictures from my recent drives & handing over recyclables to the Beeah & Emirates Environmental Group.

Thanks for reading.

Hi Rohan! It is great to see you engaged in recycling. I agree with you that recycling is the only way we can achieve sustainable development with a restricted amount of resources. Thanks for sharing us with those lovely pics, and hope you have a great day today!

Hi Rohan! I'm always happy to see you doing the recycle works. Talking about secondhand school books, in my country there is a smartphone app that you can upload your school books and buy those on the list (since secondhand markets usually do not accept secondhand university books due to the small number of customers) thanks to this, students can buy books paying much less and as you said already, save the environment!
