One of popular campaigns is Earth Hour, with WWF as the initiator. Earth Hour took place in March every year, by turning off lights and electronic appliance for 1 hour. This year, Earth Hour 2016 was held on March 19, 2016 at 20:30 until 21:20 (local time). The center of the Earth Hour 2016 is in Borobudur and Prambanan Temple, as a supporter of this campaign.

Earth Hour in Indonesia is focusing on Java and Bali, as 78% of Indonesia's electricity consumption is in this islands. Earth Hour campaign itself has been followed by more than 1 million people in Indonesia. Earth Hour is expected there was energy efficiency and changes in lifestyle in big cities that consume high power from this campaign.
