Since last week, there have been a lot of people, Scientifics who were talking about a really rude hurricane which menaced Haiti and other countries in the region. This week, it?s the time that the hurricane named Matthew with level 4 is directing to Haiti, passed in Martinique yesterday where it caused a lot of problems. Catching a speed about 160 Km/h, 300-600 mm of rain that?s equal to about 1 month of raining .  It was very disastrous, it caused destruction of some hundreds hectares of banana?s culture, left about 50.000 home without electricity, blocked street with uproot trees etc. (According to Tv5Monde)

Actually Haiti is facing to one of the worst ever hurricane in its history. This hurricane was born in the Caribbean Sea, South side of the Country. Directing to the North, it will affect hardly some sides like South, Southwest, south-east of the Country where they consider like red zone but after that it will move to the Northwest and may be West sides of the country before getting Cuba. Since the morning, many people and the government are mobilizing to support people in difficult situation. They prepare some lodging centers to receive people during the hurricane.

Why Haiti is very vulnerable and the hurricane Matthew is so dangerous?

First of all, Haiti is and island with Dominican Republic located under wind then almost all hurricanes born in the Caribbean Sea should touch Haiti when it?s moving. But Haiti is also considered like a breaker of wind cause of a lot mountains it has. Secondly, the people don?t respect the ban that prevent them to not build their house wherever. It?s why, when there is catastrophe in Haiti, it?s probably making several victims and materials losses. The people who live in the sea side are very exposed to the hurricane and also who live in the mountains where it can have erosion or sliding terrain cause of the deforestation and agriculture without thinking about the consequences.

Matthew is moving with a speed between 5-10 Km/h and the speed of the wind is about 150-200 Km/h, which can be amplified at any time. With a speed of it will have possibility to take many times to leave Haiti, and with the speed of the wind it?s very disastrous. Matthew is supposed to leave Haiti on Tuesday about 6:00 Pm, then after all the time blowing and raining and which can increase the sea height  until 1.5-2m , It?s announcing very delicate.

For this moment, Haiti is under red and all people are advised to stay home and be vigilant, follow the directives of the responsible manager risks and disaster in Haiti. Many numbers are available for urgent case.
