The Trouble with Dragons - Children's book on deforestation

Environmental destruction and climate change are two such global issues that everyone should be aware of, not just the youth and the adults. Young children should learn about the issues faced by our planet because they will become the leaders of tomorrow.

And learning about these issues from a young age will help them to develop a passion for these issues and thus help them to become Eco-leaders when they grow up.

Teaching environmental harm and climate change to children is quite a challenge because these two are complex issues which are difficult to completely grasp at a young age

Keeping this challenge in mind, Debi Gliori, a writer, published a book to educate children about the environmental destruction of the world. Although now many writers have started publishing environmental books for children, but the "Trouble with Dragons" is by far the best book I came across.

The best part about the book is that it communicates these issues through a fun and interesting story. I bought this book for young cousin and she said she loved the book. My cousin also said that when she grows up she wants to do something to protect our planet.

This book is a great example of how simple story books can empower and inform young children to protect our environment. I really hope more writers can come up with such brilliant book and inspire more children.

Earlier education tends to be more effective and especially in terms of environmental education, i think children can develop their environmental sensitivity when taught and experienced early. With books like that I hope children can think of the world that are much bigger than their small surroundings. Thanks for sharing

Books are our best friends. I think that this is the most favourite saying of my younger siblings. I think that one of the best ways to teach little kiddos something is by a clearly written book. Thanks for sharing

Good books are a great way to teach everyone about environment and climate. Every parent should encourage their children to read such books.

Thanks for sharing, Syed! I agree with you that it is quite complicated to teach children about environmental issues and its seriousness. In this regard, story books that involve such lessons are very educational. Have a great day: )

By the way, you should site the references for the book image Syed. Please don't forget : )

The world is populated by some beastly dragons who care nothing for how much they pollute the oceans, chop down the trees, gobble up all the food and use everything up without stopping to think. Those dragons need to wake up to what they are doing to their world before it is too late . .An energy-filled picture book that addresses concerns about the environment in the most child-centric and delightful way possible. I have read it and agree with you that this is one of the best and most inspiring book.

Creativity, alongside science, produced this awesome storybook. Thank you Syed for sharing it with us. I do agree with you that several children's books have already been published, but this one is different. Moreover, it is much easier to inculcate such learning, as well as develop and integrate eco-friendly deeds, at a very young age. Hence, the publication of this book and the fact that you shared it to us was a great job, indeed!
