E-car from bamboo – an excellent idea to save energy and protect environment

This bamboo car is the brainchild of Mr. Vo Van Tan from Hoi An, Quang Nam province. Unlike these other cars in the market, this car is not colorful, made from bamboo and very unique. To finishing making this car, he met a lot of challenges, especially buying materials. He must spend time searching for a suitable electric motor and finding the method sticking bamboo pieces together.

He shared he always cared about the environment-friendliness of the car. Apart from the electric motor, wheels, and some details, the rest of the car, nearly 80%, is made of bamboo. Therefore, when his car was first showed to others, it received great applause because of its nice appearance and environment-friendly motor.

After using and testing, Mr. Tan said that the bamboo car can carry 6 adults at the same time and runs at speed of 30 km per hour. If the battery is fully charged, the car can run continuously 50 km.

At present, the car is applied to carry many tourist arrivals from home and abroad each day. In the future, he would intend to produce more bamboo cars to contribute to tourism and sustainable development.

Thanks for your comment Peter@. I hope that you should have deeper analysis. We, as human, always cut trees and vegetables to eat, to make wardrobe, etc. I think we cannot say it as a challenge.
So...The point here is that bamboo car doesn't emit CO2 and the bamboo are easy to be broken compared with steel. Think like this, as we want to have more bamboo cars, we must grow more and more bamboo. :)

I'm agree with Peter. It was a good innovation, but also have a downside by cutting down bamboos for material of the car. The good side is that the car is environmental friendly. Thanks for sharing this :)
