China caps coal as renewable records are smashed |

China's top coal producing province has announced plans to cap output as the country accelerates it?s low carbon transition and cements its global dominance of renewable energy. China is aggressively investing in renewables both at home and abroad, leaving countries including the US, UK and Australia at risk of missing the growing market. In 2016, the country installed enough solar panels to fill three football pitches every hour and now hosts 5 of the world?s top 6 solar manufacturers, according to analysts who tracked a 60% increase in Chinese foreign investments in renewables.

Wow, such a major shift in energy consumption is sure not to just help the environment, but act as a role model for other countries to follow. In helping the ecosystem, as mentioned, economic, societal and wellbeing aspects are also targeted. Thanks for sharing.
