Today I would like to talk about the World Water Day.
The World Water Day is celebrated on March 22. This International annual day designated in 1993 promote concrete activities regarding world's water resources.
Water is life. But unfortunately, worldwide, 1 out of every death of children under 5 is due to a water-related disease.
It's sad to hear that in 2017, some people don't have access to such basic resource as water. 663 million people to be precise lack access to safe water.
Most developing and some emerging countries still struggle to provide healthy and safe water to their populations. With poor public governance and bad resource management strategies, most water-related projects in those countries fail.
This day is very crucial as it concerned every citizen on the Earth because even in developed countries, water is also not safe.
Let's stand together and talk about water issues. This day must appear as a very important day every year. if we want to protect our lives and the lives of our loved ones.
Because water has a huge impact on business, humans, cities, resources, environment, health, disasters, life, food security, energy, sanitation and sustainable development.
Thanks to Edna E.

Thanks for posting Gallimard. The water resources will become even more scarce than now in the future with the population growth and economic development which will naturally lead to higher demand for cleaner water! We really need to have a close watch on this particular issue. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for sharing such information, Gallimard. Most of people do not recognize that 'the water day' does exist. But as you have said, we cannot live without water, and there are a lot of people who die because they do not have access of water.

Water is such a thing that its plenty & scarcity both are harmful. We have floods & famines both is different parts of the world. It must be preserved & harvested. Thanks for the post.

Water is very crucial for existence and infact for all the important life processes. Safe drinking water is the bare minimum necessity for any human but unfortunately there are so many deprived of it. Regional governments are doing their part in exploring other sources of water, setting up water treatment plants, strategies like rainwater harvesting but we too have to do our part by using water wisely without wasting any drop of it. Thanks for the report.
