Good evening. It is 40 years since the late President GNASSIMGBE Eyadema initiated the Tree Day in Togo after having observed that it was raining every first day of June. On 1 June 2017, despite the absence of rain due to climate change, Ministers, Members of the European Parliament, the military, members of NGOs and Associations and other Togolese citizens from north to north have each planted tree. In his press release, the Minister of Environment and Forest Resources said that this year's theme is "Rebuilding is ensured by wood and non-wood forest products for present and future generations". To participate also in the reforestation policy of the MERF, I applied for two hundred and fifty plants with the Forest Resources Department and by June 15, its plants will be planted on a space of the lycée of Baguida.
