What to call is it misfortune or carelessness of government??
Day to day sad news of death people beacause of flood is killing me inside, : At least 23 people were killed and hundreds of families were displaced in floods and landslides triggered by incessant rainfall across the country on Friday night. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, six persons were killed in Sunsari as floods wreaked havoc in the district. Four persons were killed in Sindhuli, four in Banke and one person each in Morang and Jhapa districts. At least three elderly people went missing in flood at Sundar Haraincha in Morang district, MoHA?s spokesperson Joint Secretary Deepak Kafle said. Six bodies were fished out from the swollen streams in Sunsari while hundreds of families were displaced, he added. Jhapa, Morang Sunsari, Sapttari, Siraha, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Banke, Bardiya and Dang were the worst affected by flood. Hundreds of houses have been submerged in Morang. Biratnagar airport has been closed after flood water gushed into the airport area. The government has mobilized Nepal Police, Nepali Army and APF person but wasnt effective, When i woke up early morning and see the news the headlines of people death either by flood in terai region in Nepal or by Swine flu, the hospital where i am studying, 3 patients are already dead with swine flu and many more are diagnosed. These both factors is killing Nepal badly, youths from different places from their different levels are doing their best. I would like to request all the Nepalese members on Tunza Family stay safe and take care of your home town.

It's really really a very sad and sorry state. May God help Nepal and people there. Kudos to youths from all across who are coming to help. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe and strong. Let's all hope and pray for the earliest normalcy in Nepal.

Thanks Prakriti, for sharing about the floods situation in the terai region in Nepal. IN addition to government relief works and support, people must form task forces to help those affected escape the fury of floods and ensuing epidemics.

Prakriti, thank you for your report. I am sorry to hear the sad news. So how is the situation right now? Did it get better? I am sure the government would learn something from this happening and carry out some actions for the future.
