I am very fortunate again to be invited to speak about my experience as an environmentalist in the ASEAN Coral Camp in Vietnam.
ASEAN Coral Camp is a 4-day camp for selected promising young environmentalists in Vietnam. The camp started off with lectures about the marine area and coral reefs in Vietnam. The 2nd day, when I spoke, I talked about the youth involvement in marine conservation. They also had a beach clean up. Day 3 was exciting as they visited a marine protected area and had a sharing opportunity about MPAs. They also had an opportunity to pitch their project in Day 4 so they can start the changes in their community at once.
Overall, the Coral Camp was a very fun and informative activity wherein the bonds of the campers were tied to the ocean, ever raging and strong.
Thank you Linh Thao for inviting me! I had fun talking to everyone and sharing my experiences and tips and tricks in mobilizing the youth.

The lectures about marine conservation and coral reefs, beach clean up and visit to the marine protected area, as also the projects- all in all, the camp must have been an enriching experience.
