No Plastic Bag Area - Cu Lao Cham Island

I want to start my first report in Eco-Generation about Cu Lao Cham - a peaceful and serene island which I have visited last summer.

Cu Lao Cham Island belongs to Quang Nam - a small province settled in the middle of Viet Nam. Through centuries, Cu Lao Cham still maintain the diversity of eco-system which includes various kinds of sea creature.
This island is one of the areas which have the most strict and safest environment-management in Viet Nam despite of daily activities. The main life source in Cu Lao Cham comes from tourism and fishing, however, the inhabitants here deal with their work in the most environmental way so it does not cause any negative impact at all. I first doubted about this truth but after hearing the real statistics about coral here, I got shocked.

What I most impressed in this area is the awareness and eco-lifestyle of the inhabitants . I wandered around the main town, and I realized that no one uses plastic bags, they make use of used newspaper instead and even in the guest house I stayed, people do not use machine heater to take shower, they prefer natural water, not because of poor condition, but just their favour.

In the modern age nowadays, it's not easy to find a famous tourism destination like Cu Lao Cham, it is not as beautiful as Maldives or as majestic as Ha Long Bay. Cu Lao Cham is just serene and comfortable.By the trip to there, I conceive a lot of precious knowledge and it starts building up the love to coral, to ocean in me. I feel things originate in the unexpected way is the most valuable things and my story is too. Now I am preparing for a project about coral and I am so excited to share it here!

Hi, Nghi! Thank you for your report on the eco-friendly lifestyle of the people of Cu Lao Cham Island. I loved how you wrote about a place that you visited in person, and shared your own photos. The island of Cu Lao Cham looks so clean and beautiful, and I can see that the people there clearly care about their natural environment. It breaks my heart whenever I visit a populated beach and see trash, such as plastic bottles or snack wrappers, littering the beach and water. I really admire the eco-friendly lifestyle of the people of Cu Lao Cham, and I think that we all should learn from their environment-loving ways. Nice work on your report!

Hi, Nghi! Nice to meet you and thanks for your report! The water of Cu Lao Cham Island looks so clean! I can even see the sea of the sea so clearly! It's really impressive that people who live in this Island aware of eco-lifestyle and practice it in their daily life. Plastic bags, machine heater, and further useful devices could make our life more comfortable, but honestly, we can live without them! We have to follow their eco-life as much as we can. Great work!

Hello Nghi, and welcome to Eco-Gen, very well written report. The biodiversity of the island is breathtaking and it looks truly beautiful. It is great to know that even though there is work and activity going on there the island maintains its beauty and biodiversity. The eco-friendly habits of the natives should be followed by people in other parts of the world as well. Looking forward to your coral report and hope to hear from you again soon! ^.^
