From the very beginning of the agricultural system, techniques of avoiding harmful pests is being practices. Pesticides proved to be very effective against the pests and could clean up the whole harmful pest community by using a small amount. No doubt that it works very well but at the same time it is causing some fatal reactions to the environment, human health and also plant health. This pesticide get mixed with the surface run-off and pour in to the ponds and rivers thus contaminating drinking water. It also pollutes the soil leading to soil erosion. The most horrifying effect is on the human health. Consuming foods contaminated by pesticides causes many serious diseases to human. It can even cause cancer! Now the question is that, in spite of its lethal consequences, why farmers still using it? Well the answer is not so far to find out. At first, most of the farmers are not aware of the organic methods for dealing with pests. They have a tendency to use the pesticides because by applying it in small proportion it can kill a large number of pest population. These pesticides are easily available. In order to make adequate amount of production or considering quality rather than quantity, farmers desire to use pesticides and fulfil their wishes. Uses of pesticides is often encouraged by the local agricultural agencies. Today, a revolutionary farming system have been introduced known as ?Organic Farming ?. In this system, no synthetic artificial substance is allowed to use. Harmful pests are controlled by-
Chloroxylon is used for Pest Management in Organic Rice Cultivation in Chhattisgarh, India. Organic farming techniques is also being used in other countries at a great rate. So To lessen the use of pesticides and promote human health and food security, organic farming techniques should be widely followed. Hi, Stephaine Mentor,
Genetically superior crops are being used in many countries specially in agricultural rich countries. Many researchers and biotechnology engineers have worked and are working hard to make crops genetically improved and this methods are approved by international food security organizations. So, i think there should be not much doubt abut its efficacy.
Thanks for your reply,

Hi, Sumit! Nice work on your report! I liked how you introduced many alternative methods that could be used instead of pesticides. I'm really interested in biological methods, such as using insects, microorganisms, or other plants that do not damage the crops but help fight pests. There are also new biotechnological methods that involve small changes in the genetic information of crops to make the crops themselves pest-resistant. However, genetically modified crops are causing a lot of controversy because some people are doubtful of how safe it is to eat them. What do you think about this subject?

Hi, Sumit! It's true that some farmers still use pesticide for their convenience and we need to find out an appropriate way of informing them its negative effects and banning their usage to prevent human and plants from getting diseases. In that point, 'Organic Farming' seems very attractive in solving harmful pests problems. I hope many farmers aware seriousness of using pesticides and apply organic farming techniques to their farming. Thanks for your report!

Pesticides are effective but their harmful effects are severe. Organic farming is the way of life, its the future. Thanks for the report.
