Good Evening Fellow Ambassadors,Eco Generation Team In General,Members And The Visitors.
To start with we first need to understand what waste is waste is any substance which is discarded after primary use, or it is worthless, defective and of no use. Examples include municipal solid waste (household trash/refuse), hazardous waste, wastewater (such as sewage, which contains bodily wastes (feces and urine) how we can reduce waste first is keeping our selves clean if we keep our selves clean then we can keep our environment clean, most of the people who throw trush anyhow are not clean it might not only be physically but in the mind as well, some people keep there homes clean but go to mess up the streets because they know if they keep there homes dirty they will end up being embarrassed, people think its normal to throw trash anyhow they might see a bin but they would prefer throwing it (trash)on the ground. we can also reduce waste by recycling, avoid throwing electronics in the normal trash. I would suggest that people should be educated on how to keep there environment clean, and I'm ready to do that this weekend on behalf of eco generation,I believe that by having a door to door campaign about keeping our environment clean something positive will come out of it,ignorance is the route of all this and people need to be told the benefits of keeping the environment clean, after having a door to door campaign I will go to the schools,I'm appealing to the eco generation team to help me with more promotional goods,I will use the current promotional goods for the door to door campaign this weekend, I'm also appealing to any interested person to come on board,as I will keep records for everything, all the achievements. Thank You. Chabala Chisenga Eco Generation Regional Ambassador To Zambia. |

Hi, Chabala! I agree that having the right mindset is important, and people should know that keeping the environment clean is just as important as (if not more important than) keeping their homes clean. Also, for problems such as not throwing electronics in the trash, people should be well-educated on how to properly dispose of these electric wastes, because there are a lot of people who throw them away in regular trash bins simply because they don't know about the proper method. Overall, spreading awareness and environmental education is key. This is why I think your door-to-door campaign will be able to make a huge difference! Good luck and thanks for your report!

Hi, Chabala! Thanks for your report! Lack of clearness in our mind, very interesting expression. We consider home should be clean for the sanity and our health.
However, many people might think it's ok to throw trash on the open street or place outside as there are some cleaners who work for cleaning those public areas. It's totally wrong. Cleaning is their job but that doesn't mean we could throw trash anywhere we want. Actually, it's not that hard to throw trash in the right place (wastebasket)!
I really support your door-to-door campaign and wish for your best!
