At the university of Cocody, there are many eco-frienly things. The article today will focus on the BlueBus which are in charge of carrying people within the University. What is Bluebus?
Bluebus are buses offered to the university Felix Houphouet Felix Boigny which is the biggest university of the country located in the Capital of Ivory Coast, Abidjan. The company which offers theses buses is called Bolloré, it is really involved in the maritime transport at the port of Abidjan. So offering buses to the University of Cocody is part of its Corporate Societal responsibility. Bluebus are three electric buses which transport students and any visitors from one place to another within the University. Why talking about Bluebus in this article?
Bluebus are eco-friendly. Firstly, the buses don?t use petrol or gas to ride. In fact, the bluebus are greatly contributing to preserving the air as they don?t use any fossil fuels like our usual buses and cars do. Secondly, they are recharged with electric power. Thirdly, their electric power comes from the use of clean energy. As a matter of fact, the electric power of the Bluebus is sources from the solar panels installed just behind the buses main station. So we use solar energy to charge the buses, while today due to the destruction of the environment, Solar energy is one of the clean and eco friendly energy that are advised to be used for the planet sustainability.
This model of eco friendly buses should be extended beyond the University. The power sector should be open to competition and allow private investors invest in other energy sources which can be uses for our engines and daily usage. And this is the task of the government. Environmental activists can work with their peers or any other people to start creating clean energy sources at least for small household activities. Because even the electricity generated by the national company is not serving everybody, so it is necessary for us to create a source of energy to compensate the gap. It also in our way of contributing to clean energy usage an pushing the government to understand that it can do so and even more better.

Hi, Fredric! It's great to see that the University of Concody has incorporated solar power into the school transportation system! Providing public transportation systems (such as buses) in itself is considered to be good for the environment, as emissions are much more reduced than in the instance of people using their own cars. The usage of environmentally friendly transportation systems takes 'good for the environment' to the next level, as there are no emissions at all. I hope that these kinds of environmentally friendly transportation systems can be introduced to more parts of the world, maybe starting in places like universities, like the case of the University of Concody. Great work!
