Panchagavya making!

by Dibya Bhatta | 31-01-2018 18:58 recommendations 0

Panchagavya or panchakavyam is a concoction prepared by mixing five products of cow and used in traditional Indian rituals. The three direct constituents are cow dung, urine, and milk; the two derived products are curd and ghee. These are mixed in proper ratio and then allowed to ferment.
We made this as part of our practical in our agronomy lab.. Panchagavya consists of nine products viz. cow dung, cow urine, milk, curd, jaggery, ghee, banana, Tender coconut and water.

Hi, Dibya! Thanks for telling us about the process of making Panchagavya! It's my first time hearing about it, and I'm happy to learn about this type of natural fertilizer. I think it's cool that you guys made this yourselves at your lab! :D
