Deforestation Curse Of Nature

by Rahul Kumar Patel | 14-03-2018 22:17 recommendations 0

The worst consequences of the development of the smart city are the deforestation, and the people consider it necessary for the easy and comfortable life. But what I believe that development must be long-lasting or sustainable one in consonance with nature but in reality, it is missing. The stakeholder of our city is moving towards its final goal of the establishment of the so-called "smart city" till 2031. So, the question arises, what kind of smartness it is? The smartness on the death of hundreds and thousands of trees sounds horrible but its fact, which shows the real mentality of the best and the smartest creation of nature. They just burning their own house just to fuel and increase the milage of the comfortable life. So as a common citizenry of the state it's our primary role to just restrict such kind of genocide of trees in the name of the sovereign function for the class development and satisfaction, if the major part of our society is still dissatisfied.
So, we the concerned people are going to protest against the government and its policies to cutting down the trees, the houses of thousands of house sparrow, other birds and the oxygen factory of the human civilization in the name of development. As we are celebrating World Sparrow Day on 19th March a day before. It is a day designated to raise awareness of the house sparrow and then other common birds to urban environments, and of a threat to their populations, observed on 20 March. It is an international initiative by the Nature Forever Society of India in collaboration with the Eco-Sys Action Foundation (France) and numerous other national and international organization across the world. Sparrow is also our state bird. So we are going to incorporate this event as a part of our large campaign against deforestation in urban spaces. To widen the road in Patna big old tree had been chopped by road construction department. Student of Mount Carmel and Patna Women's college were furious at the brutal face of development when they saw it every day at the gate of college itself. Along with Mount Carmel, many schools walked down the road to show protest. The event was designed to do final procession. We along with fellow activist decided to raise voice against such act of the state and finally, an advisory was published to Forest Department to find the solution to translocate these trees. As a result, tender to translocate trees is finalized by the Forest Department. Wire mess fences have been removed, tiles near root have been excavated and being watered enough to loosen soil for easy uprooting, I think it is the win-win situation for both.

Hello Rahul, I see very close-take pics about dead trees and so on.
Gyeongrin mentor picked out the sentence what I did want to share here, and to add on that, I also do think deforestation does not just mean 'loss of trees and surrounding environment'.
It is 'de-humanization', since trees and animals living near them are elements that make cities different from 'artificial cities'.
What it means is, though we are living in cities, we definitely do need trees that make a green look over our cities. Making clean air, reducing possibility of heat island...and there are many effects that work positive on us.

Hope you do keep up with your work urging people for taking their society into one more step further!

    Hi Rahul!
Thanks for sharing the news about deforestation resulted from urbanization. This report truly us about the severity of tree lost. I totally agree to your report saying,

'development must be long-lasting or sustainable one in consonance with nature.'

It seems like development itself is quite inevitable in this status quo but at least we should look behind at what we did to the environment and try to save it from further destruction.
I think the campaign that you are working on could gather people's attention in to the issue of deforestation!
Keep up on this great work~
I will be waiting for your next news!!
    Thanks :)

Deforestation is really a increasing problem due to urbanization and industralization. The efforts shown by the students against it is also commendable :):)
