by Kushal Naharki | 24-03-2018 01:54 recommendations 0

Apiculture (beekeeping) is maintaining honey bee colonies and collecting honey, beeswax and other products. The root word of apiculture is 'apis', meaning bee in Latin. Honey bees are social species and live in large colonies.

"Apiculture: Purpose, Process and Planning"; two day training program was conducted by Youth Innovation Network on 22nd and 23rd March at PG Seminar Halll, Rampur Chitwan. Orientation program, video presentation and Presentation from Ghanshyam Bhandari (NARC) was conducted on 22nd March. A field visit was conducted to Sagar Bee Keeping Industry, Gaidakot,

We have always tried to come with innovative programs from Youth Innovation Network. We had previously conducted The Science of Climate Change;School Campaign on Climate Change, Motivational and Stationary Distribution at schools, Youths in Science and Technology and so on,

Bees are also an important part of environment. Honey and other products produced from it has great importance to human. Gaining advantage from the rearing it domestically is also a part of environmental conservation too. With many environment deteriorating activities being  carried out, we must try to make best utilization of environmental resources without deteriorating it.

    Hello kushal!
Ambassador Bharat made a very good point about saving bees. Bees plays a big role in pollination and if bees get extincted, it will definitely impact the bio-system. So this 'Apiculture: Purpose, Process and Planning' two day training program conducted by Youth Innovation Network really does seem like a great idea!! And the part that it affects the awareness of youth makes it greater~
Thanks for sharing the news about the apiculture training program :)
    Nice report!!

Bees acts as pollinators and are responsible for pollinating nearly 85% of all food crops for humans, as well as numerous crops that grow the food fed to cattle.

Bees are the most important insects to humans on Earth. And there are many health benefits of honey like: honey contains many important antioxidants and these antioxidants have been linked to reduced risk of heart attacks, strokes and some types of cancer.

It is really a great event. Hope the event would impact upon participants to a greater extent.
Thank you for sharing the news. :) :)
