Club of Environmental Science Saptagandaki Celebrated World Environment Day-2018 |

On the occasion of World Environment Day, Club of Environmental Science Saptagandaki successfully organized rally and performed environment conservation related Drama inside the premises of Bharatpur Metropolitan City. Drama was based on the main theme of world environment day 2018 "Beat plastic pollution". Drama was very effective and good mass of public observed it. Sanitation program was scheduled on Narayani river's bank, but because of continuous rainfall they were not able to do that. President Mahesh Sapkota said that, "Plastic pollution is the issue of major concern of this era. As per the main theme of world environment day 2018, We should refuse plastic product. If we can't, we should at least reuse the plastic product. At local level we can prepare junk arts and decor the house and surrounding with the arts prepared form useless plastic bottles, and other plastic products which we normally use in daily life. And at national and international level, plastic product can be used for making roads which has been proved recently that plastic roads can be best and long lasting as compared to existing road which are paved with tar and pebbles". Hello Carlos, a theme for environment day commemoration delineated the current situation of modern world : bunches of convenience that we live under.
Though this 'convenience' provides us tons of profits and truly convenient life for all of us, it turns into garbage and chaotic mess that trigger a long term cycles of environmental problems.
Keeping ourselves up with this issue and participating into some performances or campaigns can change its flow!
Thanks for sharing a meaningful campaign to us!

Hello Bharat!
Plastics are not the worst materials that can be used in products only if they are properly regathered and reused in new ways such as making roads! However in real life the gathering back of plastics in a way that can be reused is actually not being done well enough and are making waste problems. Hope things get better!
And I am glad that the rally was successful!

many thank for this report and congratulations on the rally that went successful! I am glad that you mentioned that plastics can be used to make roads as that is a huge step in clearing plastics from the streets and making it part of the streets :D
It is so ironic that you speak about plastic being used for road construction because i wrote about it and I will be posting it in a few minutes, stay tune my fellow ambassador!
