Saturdays have been a very interesting, since the imitation of the SHAH ALAM TREES FOR LIFE?S tree planting activates. In a way of keeping up with the usual acts of volunteerism and community service, we went along with a tree planting exercise that we partake as our monthly volunteerism in Shah Alam, Malaysia. The Major Sponsor of the event is the MBSA (SHAH ALAM TREES FOR LIFE). Shah Alam Mayor (Datuk Bandar) is a hands-on man. He attends all tree planting events and gets on ground with other volunteers.

The tree planting event successfully ended with almost 1030 shade trees (Filicium Decipiens) planted around Shah Alam Stadium compound. It was a great day to see more young people inspired to this advocacy. Several Students from some schools and universities, Non-governmental organizations and even companies where there to help. Somewhere from MSU (Malaysian Science University), Al-Madinah International University and other high schools. To my observation, I think one of the most challenging phenomenon at the event was the way the holes for the tree planting were customized. It was too big and 3 feet deep that one has to gather enough soil to fill it up. The holes were also filled up with water as per the rain last night so we had to get some bowl to get rid of the water before the plantation. The secretary of MBSA, Mr. Tahir was very supportive together with his team of employees throughout the event. Thank you Mr. Matthias Gelber (Green Man), Miss Rossiti Aishah Rashidi, Bernard Eng Khim Sheng  and Mohd Sulaiman Gerrard for the guidance to the students. Organizers of the event provided the following :

Certificate of participation were provided upon request and was be sign by Datuk Bandar of Shah Alam himself after  the tree planting.
