Nowdays, REDD+ is development of REDD by adding conservation value implementing sustainable forest management, enhancing carbon stock. It is profound foremost forest abbreviation of Reducing Emissions from Deforestration and Forest Degradation.

It was an effort from industrial countries and certain agencies to developing countries to conserve forest as source of carbon stock. By creating a financial value for the carbon stored in forests, the developing countries receive incentives to reduce emissions from forested lands and invest in low-carbon paths to sustainable development.

According to Stern Review on the Economics of Climate Change incentives needed to reduce emissions of being half from forestry in 2030 is about US$17 billions dan US$33 billions peryear. This is very fascinating fund, but it needs accountability and transparency as utilizing the fund to implement REDD+ Scheme. In other hand, it will be the source of corruptions in forestry sectors even reversing.

After getting the incentives, there are political problems to distribute them to stakeholders on executing REDD+. For instance, it is a compulsory for government on handling it, but some of governmental people commit corruption and other unappropiate attitudes in using the incentive. Not only it will happen to these people, but also it will ensue to certain community and companies.

The distribution of incentives should be balancing where local community and societies should be understand their use. Society and local people involvement are needed to do REDD+ Scheme, because most of them are most understanding in detail to manage wisely forest than government.

The control of government directly should be accompanying by transparency and accountability to stop corruption on implamenting REDD+ Scheme. If it is difficult to be done, the scheme to reduce emission is not well rounded.

Corruptions is the worst trait of irresiponsible one, especially for those who don?t care to the others including social, economic, and environmental aspects.

Very well pointed. Corruption , indeed , defeats the overall objective of good initiatives and is rightly considered the enemy of development.

Happy to see this article, Yes, most of the times we are focusing on plans but not only the effective implementation. Implementation needs a corruption free environment. REDD needs the same.
