At this time, The Republic of Kazakhstan, like the majority of countries, is experiencing a lot of environmental issues and now the resolving of these issues has been elevated to the level of state policy. In "Strategy-2030" of the Republic of Kazakhstan the leading topic of discussion would be "improving nutrition, environmental cleanliness and ecology". According to the world ecological rating, Kazakhstan is a zone of ecological catastrophe, where the worsening state of the environment has hit its critical limit, which is a direct threat to the physical wellbeing of the population, balance of flora and fauna and depletion of non-renewable natural resources. The leading causes of pollution and deterioration of natural systems are: industry, agriculture and road transport. Of all the elements, the atmosphere is the most sensitive one The mining and processing industry is well advanced and is only advancing further. A big bulk of twenty billion tons of waste that have been accumulated in the last years have been the result of the mining industry. Enormous industrial facilities are being constructed and put to action, which leads to an increase in air pollution and of overall worsening of the environment. In the cities, the main contribution to air pollution is made by road transport. The low quality of the fuel used, the absence of filters for cleaning exhaust gases, the poor condition of the rolling stock of vehicles, the increase in the number of cars, leads to the emission of a huge amount of carbon monoxide, lead, etc. which leads to air pollution. The availability and condition of water resources is a basic factor that has impact on the development of the country. At the same time, the overall condition and quality of water resources in Kazakhstan are significantly deteriorating. Tests of nuclear weapons, conducted for 40 years at the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site, caused irreversible damage to human health and the environment, caused an increase in the overall morbidity and mortality of the population. This was a brief introduction to the topic of ecology in Kazakhstan and I will go into more details in future posts. |

Hello Ayazhan, such a nice report to get to know more about Kazakhstan and its governmental management with plans for several environmental issues. International attention must be given for other countries that do not 'seem' to have severe or specific environmental problems or issues inside too since not every country can make their territorial issue become international issue easily.
Thanks for your report!

Hello Ayazhan
This report well analyzes the current status quo of Kazakhstan and governmental management on environmental issues really seems to be in immediate need. The industry is important however they should still work to co-exist with the environment for when it is lost, everything's lost. Hope good policies could mitigate this problem.
Will be waiting for your continuous reports about the environment in Kazakhstan :)
Thanks for the report!

Hi Ayazhan! I have never been to Kazakhstan, but I always wanted to visit it. I want to see Alma-ATA, the beauty of nature, try the famous Alma-ATA apples. They say they are extremely tasty!
It is a pity that Kazakhstan has such problems with the environment. I want to believe that all this will be resolved in the near future thanks to such leaders of the eco-movement as you.

Good day Ayazhan,
Truly, as your report as clearly stated, the poor level of environmental management in the republic of Kazakhstan demands immediate national attention. International assistance is also strongly required before the matter gets worse.
Glad to hear the state government are prepared to formulate national policies to control environmental pollution. Thanks for the report. Please let's know when the polices are implemented and its effects.

Hey there Ayazhan!
Glad to see that you came right with the report writing :D
I am relieved that the national government has decided to look at policies to aid reduce the level of contamination in Kazakhstan. It is truely unfortunate and ironic however that we humans only decide to do good for Mother Earth once once we have reaped from her all her produce and treasure. Only once she is incapable of rebounding herself is when we start to revive her because the toll is not just placed on her but on us too.
I hope the policies to be implemented will help reduce the pollution trolling Kazakhstan.
What a well written report Ananya. I look forward to reading more of your reports!
