Climate Action (NYCA) together with Clean Energy Nepal (CEN) and Department of Environment(DOE) organized ?Walk for Renewable Energy?(Rise for Climate). The event included the demand to the local leaders commit to building a fossil free world that puts people and justice before profits. This rally tried to highlight a fast, fair and just transition to 100% renewable energy and an immediate end to new fossil fuel projects. The rally, which commenced from Lagankhel and ended at Jawalakhel, 250 students and youth participated with the slogans in the hand demanding possible free World . The key highlight of the rally was the Demo of electric bus and some of the cyclist with the demand of Eco friendly means of transportation. The bar for real climate leadership is simple: public, actionable commitments to a fast and fair transition to a fossil free world, powered by 100% renewable energy for all. Rise for Climate Action is a global moment organised by hundreds of local leaders and dozens of partners focusing on Global Climate Action Summit going to be held next week on California. Sanju Shrestha Network Coordinator ,NYCA emphasized on Youth demands, Action into words. She says ,?It?s time to re-power our communities with clean, renewable energy from the sun, earth, wind and water. We need every local government and institution to commit to building 100% renewable energy and stopping new dirty energy projects in their community.? Rajan Thapa ,Program Manager,CEN highlighted that Youth are the power of change so Youth should raise their voice for the positive change. Environmentalist, DOE, Bhupendra Sharma said that we should make change in our daily behavior to End the use of fossil fuel. Copied : vhttp://naturekhabar.com/en/archives/11149 |

Hello Namaste Joon Ho Mentor
Awareness is always a best way to convince people to take new step,
Large portion of people can be covered in short period of time in Rally.
I will write more report about what is happening in my country to make environment a better place to live.

Hello, Namaste Gyeongrin Mentor
You are absolutely correct, Developing country like Nepal is not ready for electrical car and vehicles due to lack of energy.
We some time face upto 15-18 hrs load shedding , so this is not good solution in my country. Use of bicycle in town help to reduce cost of fuel and help to reduce carbon emissions.

Hello Deepak, integrated types of approach and bondage of many participants for a single objective make it higher to bring success in the end. There are many types of campaigns that are held outside but rally campaign is really good for getting attention from people and sending messages to them in a large area, spending short time as participants keep moving on.
Our biggest mission is to bring a greener world to our society and future generations, assigning great tasks to ourselves to keep up with this objective.
Thanks for introducing the campaign of NYCA, and please share more campaigns with us next time too! :)

Hello Deepak
These commitments and dedication of young leaders are really admirable!
And about eco-friendlier transportation, the science technique that could able transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy is the key factor to make a greener world, but one thing that we should also take more care is the overall infrastructure that can support this new transportation. They say that electric cars are quite ready to be supplied however facilities such as stations aren't ready in our society!
Thanks for the report :)

Deepak,
The recognition of the importance of the contribution of young minds to environmental management is commendable. I've made similar comments on an Ambassador's report earlier. The more reason why Tunza Eco-generation have us all here. I have made similar comment on an Ambassador's report earlier.
At this time of climate change, our input is much needed.
Also, your report made me know about NYCA.
Thanks for your report Deepak.
