The Green Brigade meetings are always knowledge enrichment events for us. We normally discuss on topics ranging from Carbon emissions to Global Warming alongwith our various forthcoming activities and then one of our members gives us a presentation on a new environmental topic to enhance everybody?s benefit. Normally all of us pick up the common but relevant topics on various environmental issues but when this time our member, Anushna (Grade VII) started with ?My today?s? topic is – Say yes to plastic? we were really shocked?.what she is talking?? . Then at the end of the  presentation, we understood that we should not be allergic to the term ?plastic?, rather we should be very careful in using the same in our life considering the real benefit to the mankind in all the cases?I wish to summarise the facts we learnt from her during the presentation?

Whenever we see plastics being used in any place, we get very skeptical and look at the use as a crime. It is true in most of the cases, but there are some cases where plastic may be beneficial to the environment!!!!  They are a necessity in some places and sometimes we cannot think of life without plastics.

Let?s look at how. Advance polyolefin plastic can enhance society by providing sustainable solutions to some of the global challenges facing the world today such as.

So we can realize that saying no to plastics always is not good ?.Thin plastic bags/wrappings are the most dangerous element for the environment, but there are certain uses of plastic which gives us the benefit also. So, we need to be careful in choosing the area of use by it?s benefit to the environment?
