It goes without say that it is everyone's responsibility to make sure that their environments are kept clean , safe and healthy. That is everyone's social responsibility.However, people tend to work more when there is a motivating factor. It is for this very reason that His Worship The LusakaMayor Miles Bwalya Sampa came up with " the cleanest house award." The aforementioned is a weekly award which was started inorder to motivate people to take better care of their homes .With this, we are guaranteed to have cleaner communities to live in. Consequently leading to improved health. It would be great if more areas embraced the same attitude.

Hello Bwalya, I do envy that certificate and event since I never saw such regional program around me. Sustainability and sanitation basically start its first step in 'our home' as it is where we do our housing works and other basic activities. Without learning properly or implementing right habits to sustain our home 'clean', we will definitely not be able to expect the same outside our home.

It is our shared responsibility to keep thos world clean and green but unfortunately sometimes people do hide behind the word 'shared' and neglect ones duty to thos world.
And I believe this is where local and international force intervene, to bring awareness and to provide incentives that can motivate people.
Hope more of these programs could come in to light!

Indeed Its everyone's responsibility to make sure that their environments are kept clean, safe and healthy. People tend to work more hard when they are motivated and inspired and would like to congratulate the winners for the their great cleanliness job and organizers for organizing such a great event.
