UPdate on Adult Meeting on the Environment

On September 16, 2013, our city Mayor Amben Amante sat down with the adult environmentalists to talk about Sampaloc Lake, the biggest lake in our city. I remember attending their first meeting on September 1 but this next meeting was for adults only. The adults said that it was a good meeting because the Mayor listened to the problems. They wanted to tell the Mayor about the two biggest problems that are the fishcages (too many) and the illegal lakedwellers ( because the law says you can't build houses on the shore). And the Mayor listened is already doing something about moving the lakedwellers to a resettlement site nearby. Soon the Mayor will be the host of a conference to talk about our problems with the lake. They are still fixing the dates. I hope they will invite young people like me to join the conference. By the way, the new young Mayor is actually my cousin on my dad's side so maybe one day I can sit with him to talk about what young people can do for the environment.
