January Report: Plans for RC^2, future non-profit organization

by Aaditya Saha | 19-02-2019 04:08 recommendations 0

Last year I had started the plastic recycling club at school called RRC. We have been in operation for over 6 months now with memberships growing slowly. This year I will continue the RRC club. But in addition, I am also planning on starting an environmental nonprofit called Rc^2 (named after Einstein¡¯s equation e=mc^2). Rc^2 stands for Reduce, Control, and Conserve. The organization¡¯s mission will be to Educate the Community and Remove Plastic Waste. I want to spread awareness to other people about the dangers of plastic pollution and its effect on global warming, and educate them on how to change their plastic footprint and conserve natural resources. I also want to hold area-wide cleanups around bodies of water and hold other events like tree-plantings. This organization will allow me to gear towards expansion outside of my school to other areas and lobby to change environmental policies, as well as plan local events and partner up with other environmental organizations with similar goals to help save the Earth from climate change and drowning in plastic. There are many things I must do, like get incorporated as a non-profit organization in the State, build a website and app, make a logo, etc. However, I believe in my organization¡¯s mission to keep plastic out of our environment through education and active participation.

Hello Aaditya, RRC club activities are allegedly known for their unique themes, as mentioned for a couple of times in previous reports, right?
Enhancing your own works of cleanup and sanitation securing activities will be really helpful for your region and community!
    Thanks for your report
