The UAE has a reputation for outstanding growth and glittering skylines. Most of the time, people forget about the abundant natural beauty that this diverse country is home to. Each of the seven United Arab Emirates has its own unique natural areas that are, for the most part, untouched and unaltered by man. Wadi Hatta Located near the border of the sultanate of Oman, Hatta is known for its beautiful scenery – mountains, wadis, farms, dams and fresh air.
Khor Kalba, Sharjah Khor Kalba is one of the ¡°oldest and largest natural green sites on the east coast¡± in the UAE. It¡¯s home to endangered species including the Egret and Woodland Kingfisher.
AlQudra Lake This is one part of Dubai where wildlife is likely to be seen in its natural habitat, from desert foxes to the oryx, or one of 170 bird species that live around the lakes. Just a few of the species include swans, geese, ducks, flamingos and more. Some of these native birds are even on the endangered list, such as the Steppe Eagle and the Asian Houbara. |
