Today is another edition of International women's day. Every year we have bigger and bigger slogans, we speak out loud but we are unheard time and again. We wrap up the program of women's day with uncertainty ?when will all these horror end??Each year similar schedules, program, Marches and speeches are repeated. It's already been more than a century since the fact about equality of women was realized. But unfortunately our sisters, mothers, aunts in nook and corner of the planet are still suffering. They are victims of harassment,Rape and marital rape, and heightened risk of domestic violence, gender-based wage gap, Risk of HIV and STDs transmission and wider ranges of health issues. From dawn to dusk, they are confined in the four walls; left around to mingle with domestic chores and raise children .They are not free to feel the freshness of rising sun nor free to admire the beauty of setting sun. Around 66 million girls in the planet are deprived of quality education. In Nepal, cruel Satee pratha was abolished long ago but its remains in the form of Kamlari, Deuki, chhaupadi and dowry system still exist. Many of our sisters are victimized by these system and their life is made a living hell. Today the world is marching forward with several problems one of which is global food insecurity. Several billions go to bed empty stomach and several millions die each year due to hunger related issues. Women; they lie at the center of food security. We can?t achieve zero hunger for sure without active roles and dedications of our female sisters. Women are the super heroes. They are a wife, a sister, a mother and a friend to some of the strongest men out there. We have the power to make a change.Let?s salute each females of the planet for their indispensible role in the society.Let us celebrate the strength and empower the growth of every female. A single day is not enough to remind us how exceptional women are. Expecting them to be happy only for a single day is too mean indeed. So for this reason I didn?t wish anyone a ?Happy women?s day? today. When we talk about women the word feminism comes together. Feminism never teaches to hate men. It?s all about equality, dignity and freedom. I do believe in equality, dignity and freedom. Do you? If you do believe then you are a feminist. Feminism does not mean women are superior to men but rather they are at equal level. We still celebrate Women?s day because our sisters are harassed, abused, tortured and they are under the shadow of pain. They are differently treated. It's too much already. So the time has come to end all this. Let?s pledge to create a common yard for equal right today and every day and pledge for unprecedented attempts to tackle all the problems with their root causes and highlight the pressed issues. Let?s take a giant action now so that each female can feel proud and be so ready to love herself for being the female child of her parents. If the step is not taken now. It will be too late!! Hello Dibya!
Thanks for sharing this great writing.
I??m impressed by how you define feminism with the concept of equality and dignity as sometimes feminism is hated due to misunderstanding. I really do believe in equality and believe that empowering women is a way to make better future. The fifth of SDGs goals is ¡°gender equality¡±. Without solving this problem, the process of achieving other SDGs goals will be slower. Also, it was very interesting that you mentioned abolishment of Satee pratha in Nepal. I wish you write a report regarding this in the future so that people from other countries can share the concern.
Thank you again for the great report! Keep it up

Hi Dibya,
Happy International Women's Day!
I am happy to see that you actually care about this issue and willing to stand up and speak up for women. I also believe women should not be discriminated just because they are women and everyone should be given with a same opportunity. With your attention, I believe that women's lives will get better and better and meanwhile I encourage you to think about what other actions you can take as individual to achieve the gender equality.
Great work!
Thanks,
Louis Mentor!
