Climate Change Nowadays climate change has reached the same level of importance as economic or political problems. Unusual weather in different regions causes some abnormal changes in flora and fauna. This situation has been worsened by frequency of natural disasters. Thus, tornadoes, floods and droughts impact on typical climate in some regions and can also absolutely change it. These catastrophes are immediate result interaction between humanity and the environment. They may take a global character and unprecedented scale. Some scientists say that if significant solutions of this nature problem wouldn¡¯t be undertaken in the nearest future, further adaptation to climate change is required. That¡¯s why it is very important to understand why does it happen and how every person can affect on global changes in climate. In this report I would like to describe some major issues of people's everyday life, which do harm to the climate stability. Global pollution Plastic was not used for manufacturing and producing goods until 1855. But we have clogged up our planet intensively in the last 163 years. The main reason for plastic pollution is our reckless waste-producing lifestyle. Following this style of life people are facing a threat to be buried under piles of garbage. As a result of this ¡°trend¡± 5 great pacific garbage patches have appeared in the World ocean. They occupy more than 1,6 million kilometers. It covers an area of two Texas states. Plastic isn¡¯t absolutely recyclable, so it begins dissipating into micro- pieces and seabirds usually eat them by mistake. It causes fish to become extinct while places with useful wild plants, as well as sacred ceremonial sites, were submerged. For 2018, a year around 380 million tons of plastic are produced worldwide. From 1950 to 2018, about 6.3 billion tons of plastic was produced, of which about 9% was recycled, and 12% was burned. A huge amount of plastic waste inevitably enters the environment, and research suggests that the bodies of 90% of seabirds contain plastic. - Wikipedia Greenhouse gases The average global temperature directly depends on the concentration of greenhouse gases in the Earth¡¯s atmosphere. They are both anthropocentric and naturally occurring. Greenhouse gases play a valuable role by protecting people and animals from sun heat. But the more our industry develops, the more we cut down trees, use aerosols and bring exhaust fumes in the air. This way, every person can count his own carbon footprint. On average, statistics say that each European has about 7 tons of CO2 emissions per year. However, in different countries this data varies greatly: in developing regions, the average amount of carbon emissions per person is lower than in European countries. Greenhouse gas emissions increase with population growth and the development of economies. These aspects contribute to temperature changes as global warming. Global Warming It could sound a bit confusing, but change in temperature like 2 degrees is enormously high and it concerns us all. If states do not begin to seriously address the issue of environmental protection, by 2100 the temperature on the planet may rise to 3.7-4.8 ¡Æ C. Climatologists warn: irreversible consequences for the environment will come already with warming more than 2 ¡Æ C. During last decades the rate of ice melting in the Antarctic has increased three times and reached a record level. Since 1992 the Antarctic ice sheet has lost about three trillion tons of ice. Melting glaciers inevitably leads to rising sea levels. According to various estimates, by the end of the century the sea can rise by from 0.5 to 2 meters. According to two new studies conducted by scientists from the US and the UK, these temperature changes can lead to the flooding of the Maldives and the state of Tuamotu in the Pacific, as well as river valleys and port cities around the world. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called the problem of climate change "the main issue of our time, and its solution is a turning point in history." We still have time to stop the negative effects of climate change, but this will require unprecedented efforts from all sectors of society. To sum up, it would be quite reasonable for all of us to remember that we are a valuable ¡°detail¡± of huge environmental mechanism, which may break down if only one small thing would stop working. |

Hi Yeva,
Thank you touching on the climate changes specifically mentioning global pollution, greenhouse gases and global warming, and it seems that you talked about really important issues. Although many countries tried hard to reduce the carbon emission in order to reduce the greenhouse gases and carbon dioxide emission, it is hard to say that our efforts have been successful. I think the world needs to try more.
Please stay about the climate change, and if there is anything that you wish to share about this please feel free to write article on here!
Good job!

Hello Yeva!
Thank you for your great report about how climate changes can deteriorate people??s daily lives. Global pollution, especially the problem of plastics uses and greenhouse gases emission, global warming are all very serious problems. These three problems are harming people??s lives but also were caused by human activities. Also, those three environmental problems are interconnected and they??re worsening each other. Thank you for your well structured report. Your point was very clear.
Keep up the good work!

Hello Yeva
Thank you for a beautiful report. Climate Change infact is a natural process but our human activities, population growth, large production of green house gases have resulted into the artificial climate change causing huge impacts to our planet earth. We must be responsible with our activities and reduce environment degradation.
Green Cheers from Nepal :)
Keep writing great reports.
We are eager to read more reports from you.
Yours,
Kushal Naharki
