Plastic Pollution and My Experience

Plastic Pollution and My Experience

I was a normal guy, who usually throw everything  that is waste in road or everywhere. I was just unaware about the effect of plastic pollution, later I knew every aspect of plastic pollution but I couldn't do anything to stop it. I was still through plastic everywhere. One day I saw a video in Facebook, how a sperm whale die due to plastic pollution. That video change something in my life. I stopped throwing them everywhere, and managed to throw them in apporiate place or dustbin.

Being a citizen of a developing country where food, shelter, medicine, clothes, opportunities etc are major focused area of government and most of organisation it is very difficult to beat plastic pollution. I am throwing every piece of plastic in dustbin, either it is burned or it is damped in soil somewhere. I am helpless in this thing, what can I do is change myself and aware many students and people to change their behaviour and use less plastic. And I am doing same thing.

After I was appointed as an Ambassador of Tunza Eco Generation, i focused in plastic Pollution and started a ECPAC campaign to conduct awarenesses. I will conduct many more awareness programs in coming days.
We can't change the world immediately, it starts with me and my surroundings.

    Hello Deepak!

Thank you for sharing your personal experience and encouraging others to change as you did. These days, as the effects of climate changes have become unneglectable, more and more people are willing to participate in environmental movements. However, if a consensus between members of a society is not formed yet, drawing people??s attention to the social problem is the first thing you should do. In this sense, I think you are doing great! I wish your ECPAC campaign to be more than successful and hope to see how it??s going through your next report!

    Hi Deepak,

I am happy to read your report and I feel amazed to see that you have changed your habits, which is not easy. While reading your report, I have reflected on my personal behaviors and realized that I should be more strict on myself because I am still using some plastics.

I would like to thank you for writing this report. :)
    Great job.
