Hy and Namaste Its me Sachin Regmi- 22nd eco tunza generation regional ambassador from Nepal. On my first report I mentioned about a viral challenge spreading over internet called trash Challenge(#trash_challenge). I along with few of my friends decided to go for the challenge and successfully completed it. In few paragraphs below, I will be describing why we took the challenge and the accompaniment we achieved from the challenge.

I am a university student. Since the university is residential type (where teachers and student can live inside the university premises) there are hostels and playgrounds inside. There is a covered hall (indoor hall) for badminton and table tennis. There are two entrances for the same. The second entrance is often dirty and is recently converted to dump site by the locals. But since the entrance is very near to one of the hostels there is high risk of disease outbreak in the university due to this trash. so, we decided to clean the waste so that the locals become discouraged to dump their trash inside the university.

It was near evening on march 18, 2019 we group of five students decided to go for the challenge. The place was is such a horrible condition but we didn¡¯t lose hope. We planned to start from a corner and protected ourselves using mask and hand gloves. During the whole operation we collected a sac full of glass waste and five sacs full of trash. Most of them were single use plastic and waste from dumped electronics. We waited for metropolitan garbage van and dispatched the trash. The whole procedure took nearly 3 hours for five of us.

We decided to post the pictures to our social sites so that youths like us will be inspired to take the challenge and viewers become discouraged to dump the trash any place they want. This is my attempt to contribute for the cause of environment conservation and would be very happy if some youths among us become inspired and take the challenge.

    Hello Sachin!

WOW! Thank you for sharing this amazing experience with fellow ambassadors! I feel very glad that you have taken a part in this great movement (#Trashchallenge). You??re right. Usually, dumped trash on streets are perfect habitat of many viruses. I feel very proud of you and I??m sure that whoever reads your post must be encouraged to do so. Thank you again for your wonderful report!

First of all, Well done on the work you and the team have put to completion! I would have also liked to be part of the action plan, I believe that many of us should be doing this on a daily basis in terms of not littering and picking up litter in your surrounding area.
