Trees also play a critical role in absorbing the greenhouse gases that fuel global warming. They give Oxygen to breathe out. Trees are so much important. Every one of us know how important trees are to us too. But Do we really contribute to its protection? Is the current question that receives negative answer from most of the people saying, ¡°No, I haven¡¯t.¡± Trees contribute to their environment by providing oxygen, improving air quality, climate amelioration, conserving water, preserving soil, and supporting wildlife. Although trees and forest are so much important to us, the deforestation is quite high the world. The world¡¯s rain forests could completely vanish in a hundred years at the current rate of deforestation. The Earth loses 18.7 million acres of forests per year, which is equal to 27 soccer fields every minute, according to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The scale of tree destruction, much of it done illegally, poses a grave threat to tackling both climate change and the massive global decline in wildlife. March 21st is celebrated as International Day of Forests. This year the International Day of Forests promotes education to Learn to Love Forests with the theme ¡°Forest and Education¡±. Understanding our forests and keeping them healthy is crucial for our future. It underscores the importance of education at all levels in achieving sustainable forest management and biodiversity conservation. Healthy forests mean healthy, resilient communities and prosperous economies. It will seek to raise awareness on how sustainably managed forests provide a wide array of contribution in this area. Sustainably managed forest is a direct need of this point of time; one being the wide array of contributions and other being the rampant exploitation. In this situation, the need to preserve forest is significant than ever before. Happy International day of Forest Together for Green Earth. Lets all celebrate this day 😊 😊 Reference: http://www.un.org/en/events/forestsday/ |

Hi Kushal,
Thank you for your report and informed us of deforestation. I think it is really meaningful to celebrate International Forest Day and it is true that trees are indeed important. In Korea, we do plant trees every year to protect our nature and environment.
I always appreciate your active participation. :) Please keep writing good reports.

Hello Kushal!
Thank you for your wonderful report about deforestation. As you pointed out, even though we know how trees are beneficial to the earth(providing natural habitats to fauna and flora, lessening impacts of natural disaster etc), we don??t put much effort to protect them. I think it is great idea to celebrate international day of forest and learn about the importance of forest in conserving biodiversity. In Korea, we celebrate ¡°Arbor day¡± at 5th of April. It will be wonderful if we can share some other possible solutions to save trees and forests. Thank you again for sharing this important issue!

Hey Kushal,
I trust you are well, Trees are so imperative to the life cycle of all biological beings that they should not only be protected but respected as well. I wish you a Happy International Day of Forests, I hope you have played your part in appreciating and learning about the entity that is forests.
The reality of the matter is that not many are aware of the importance of forests as you have mentioned and they is a dire need to educate those who are unaware so as to bring a greater need to protection around trees.
Thank you for you informative report Partner!
Take care now!
Sincerely yours,
Rosa
