Biodiversity

Climate change is the new biodiversity in Mpumalanga region, South Africa.

According to an environmental article: ¡°Mpumalanga Most Pollutant province (region)¡± published within the digital news platform, Moneyweb, eloquently and evidently suggests axiom that climate change has become the ¡°new¡±.

Accounting cognizance of various biodiversity environmental incidents occurring:  soil erosion, drought, excessive atmospheric warming, Mpumalanga has experienced and endured intolerant environmental  patterns of climate and resource effects features land degradation, water shortages, soil quality and nutrient loss, unpredictable weather (rainfall precipitation and heatwaves) aswel as biome ecosystem degradation.

This environmental phenomena has persistently and significantly posed a negative ramification to both the biodiversity and ecological systems.

Thus, it come to light that not only it is the biodiversity system which had experienced such dramatic changes, but also the livelihood interaction exchange of mostly wildlife and species: birds, reptiles aswel as insects such as butterflies and grasshoppers.

These could be clearly substantiated by the view of specie migration-which positioned at a high number percentage over the years, having forcefully to adjust and adopt inorder to attain certain conducive zones.

Species diversity has become an occurrence due to the unbearable and unfavorable environmental and climatic conditions neither patterns exposed unto.

As matter of fact, many biodiversity elements (plantation, vegetation and species) have accounted extinction year¡¯s period.

The natural vegetation has survived carious sets of transitions and transformations. A change in vegetation color, nutrient, form and content. Such phenomena has resulted a change in the sustainability of plant life span and habitat as a food source and fundamental influencer for what relies upon it and contributory elementary means: photosynthesis (value-chain) production.

It had emerge through/by a supported report that, climate change attributive to global warming predicament is the actual and precise.

The cause of such environmental incident succumbs sub heavy (atmospheric)pollution forms, smog, being released as carbon dioxide, acidic rain and mercury catalysts by heavy large-scale mining companies and manufacturing firms.

These firms are found to channel pollutant toxins of acid mine drainage which inflow into the water resources. Inter alia are the manufacturing firms which contribute hazardous atmospheric pollution from the refined-manufactured materials such as woods stocks, commonly.

These toxins has been intolerant towards the natural environment biodiversity: nature, its interaction and value-ecosystem cycle.

However, the local(Unjindi) and provincial government have affirmed their commitment towards ensuring a strategic move towards combating such kind of  a pandemic through statutory means and processes.

Barberton, Mpumalanga serves potential, posing socio-environment development success.

    Hi Xolani,

This is another great report about biodiversity and in this report you talked about the problems of Mpumalanga. I am pretty saddened by the fact that there are many beautiful places that are actually damaged by the climate change and I think it is really up to us to preserve it. Meanwhile, the process may not be easy and straightforward, we should not give up and try our best. I am looking forward to your next report! :) Great!

    Hello

I do hope that you are fine and doing great with your works. Thank you for your report about impacts of climate change on biodiversity. The climate change has brought the change in the biodiversity. We can also feel the northward shift of biodiversity due to the impact of climate change. The adaptation and mitigation measures should be taken into consideration and actions should be taken in time.

    Green Cheers from Nepal :)
    Keep writing great reports.
We are eager to read more reports from you.

    Sincerely,
    Kushal Naharki

    Hello Xolani!

Thank you for bringing up a multitude of environmental issues that Mpumalanga is currently facing. The negative consequences of global climate changes are affecting every place in the world. Severe natural disasters such as drought and excessive warming and soil erosion due to acid rain are the common examples. However, we still have a silver lining. With the local and provincial government??s active participation, the environmental pollutions in Mpumalanga can be mitigated. Keep up the good work!

    Hey there Xolani!

I remember in my undergraduate when we were first introduced to the Barberton rocks of Mpumalanga. The Geology of that region dates back millions of years.

The Barberton Gneiss reserve is a beautiful place for people to go and experience nature in its serenest form!

    Thank you for reporting Xolani!
    Warm regards,
    Rosa
