Air pollution

One of the most significant global problems is air pollution. It is dangerous because people are influenced by deficit of fresh air, but what's more atmospheric pollution causes climate change. Many scientists call this process as a vicious cycle.

Let's try to find out more reasons why air pollution happens.

Various elements and substances that change the composition and concentration of air enter the atmosphere. The next such sources contribute to air pollution:

  • emissions and activities of industrial facilities

  • car exhaust fumes

  • radioactive objects

  • Agriculture

  • household and industrial waste

During the combustion of fuel, waste and other substances, combustion products enter the air, which significantly worsen the state of the atmosphere. Also, the dust that is formed at a construction site pollutes the air rapidly. A significant concentration of elements that pollute the atmosphere is released at thermal power stations as a result of burned fuel. The more inventions humanity commits, the more sources of air pollution and the biosphere appear.

Aftermath of air pollution. During the combustion of various types of fuel carbon dioxide is released into the air. It generates such a dangerous phenomenon of our planet as the greenhouse effect. As a result, the ozone layer, which protects our planet from intense exposure to ultraviolet rays,is being damaged. All this leads to global warming and climate change of the planet. One of the consequences of carbon dioxide accumulation and global warming is the melting of glaciers. In wake of this, the water level of the World Ocean rises, which can lead to flooding of islands and coastal zones of continents. In some areas, flooding will be a constant occurrence. Plants, animals and people will also die. Polluting the air, various elements fall to the ground in the form of acid rain. These sediments enter the water bodies, change the composition of the water, and this causes the destruction of the flora and fauna in rivers and lakes. Nowadays, air pollution is a local problem of many cities, which has grown into a global one. It is difficult to find a place in the world where the air is 100% clean. Moreover, atmospheric pollution leads to development of diseases in people which can accordingly become chronic and shorten the life expectancy of the population.

    Hello Yeva

You're right. I think air pollution is the most dangerous type of pollution as it can cause serious health problems, sometimes even leading to death. According to one research, it's said that an estimated 92 percent of the world's population live in areas with dangerous levels of air pollution, causing premature death. Thank you for letting us know about this important issue.

    Hey Yeva!

I hope you are well. Thank you for your informative report on air pollution. It is reports like this that we need t be made aware of each time in order to remind ourselves of that danger and impacts of air pollution in our lives.

Thank you so much once again for reporting! I look forward to reading more of your work!

    Stay blessed and with gratitude,
    Ms. Rosa Tiimuma Domingos
