I read that of all the countries in world, the Philippines ranks number one for deaths caused by natural disasters. In 2012, 2,360 people died due to natural disasters in the Philippines. The Philippines, according to the blogger, sits right in the middle of "Typhoon Alley" and the "Ring of Fire". Recently, I reported about a deadly earthquake that hit the Philippines in the southern island of Bohol. Many died and lots of property was damaged. Also an interesting thing happened after the earthquake when what they call a "ground rupture" pushed up to three meters or about ten feet of ground that created a rocky wall which is longer than five kilometers. The Philippine President even spent a day sleeping in the tent when he went to check on the damage caused by the recent earthquake when he visited the victims. Aftershocks were still experienced but the President said there is "no immediate danger" either from the aftershocks or from the ground fissures.
