During this new year
![]() There are many ecofriendly dustbins around the city. They have electric dustbin around the city which can be seen from far. They have screen which have "Save the Planet", "Go Green" written on them. The electricity for the screen above the dustbin is provided from the solar energy. The lights in the differnet tourism places is also provided with renewable solar energy. Pokhara is one of the ecofriendly city of Nepal. The dustbin has made this city clean and green. The use of renewable source of energy is also praise worthy. I have also shared the photos of ecofriendly activities in pokhara in gallery section of the website too. Check them out too. Nepal is also celebrating Visit Nepal 2020. Green Cheers to all of you !!!!! |

Hey Kushal!
It's Lisa again:)
I am surprised how much Nepal is contributing to resolving the climate issues and environmental harms! Electric dustbin! I don't think I saw one of those in my country.
Not even those campaign signs on screens!
Nepal is a leading country in raising public awareness on environmental issues!!
I hope Korea can emulate Nepal very soon:)
Some might ask 'what's the use of them' but I think very differently.
Just by being exposed to these catchphrases and using those dustbins, I know that they will unconsciously be aware of the efforts that are being done for the environment.
Great to see how Nepal is doing!!
Hope the same for Korea and thanks for sharing the stroy dear:)

Hello Kushal
Thank you for the new information about Pokhara. I've never got the chance to visit the place, but the idea of tourism combined with eco-friendly technologies makes me want to visit the region.
About the dustbins, I think that placing dustbins at proper places truly makes differences in the region. If there are enough dustbins, people know where to put their trash, therefore there is much less trash on the street. I think it's really clever idea of the local community.
I hope to get the chance to visit the place, and thank you for the great report.
