Thematic Report: Environmental issues in Films and Books

by Okoth Okoth | 25-01-2020 17:56 recommendations 1

I have never taken much time in reading novels, story books or long blog posts. In fact, during my days in secondary school I could start reading a novel; by then ¡°The River and the Source¡± by Margaret Ogolla from page 1-10 and then jump to the last pages 350-360 and then call it a term. However, the Sci Fi climate novel by David H. Spielberg has caught my attention to the reading world.

David boldly talks about climatic changes which have affected the world adversely, ¡°from the air to James Marshall Las Vegas had always seemed an arrogant challenge to reason built as it is in the Great Basin of the Mohave Desert. Bounded by dry mountains, especially on the West by the Sierra Navada and Wasatch mountain ranges. Moist air from the ocean has long lost its moisture rising up the western slopes¡¦¡±

David continuously releases free Sci Fi climate novels daily in a Facebook page called Earth Warriors and his own account. The novel is a source of inspiration and generally illustrates the damage climate change has done to this planet.

The most captivating and heartbreaking part of his novel lies on page 39-43 of his Sci Fi novel ¡°the green lawns and thirsty New England style landscaping plans vanished years ago, outlawed by the Southern Nevada Water authority, as the water level of Lake Mead steadily dropped.¡± I highly recommend this novel to all Tunza Eco-generation members
