Tree Plantation on My Birthday |

As August 1 was my birthday, I decided to utilize this time by planting some trees. I had to visit office of Taltalaya Wetland Conservation Centre for 3 consecutive working days to finalize my program. Despite these hurdles,due to their kind gesture, I need not had to pay around 48 US $ for those plant saplings. I went there along with my younger brother Diwakar and planted around 25 plants of six different species. Saraca asoca, Delonix regia, Bahunia sp, Cinnamomum tamala, Albizia lebbeck and Cinnamomum camphora were the different species of plants planted on my birthday. Not only planting, i will be taking care of the 25 plants as I planted them in the special protected grazing free area of the Wetland and will be fencing with wodden cover after few weeks to ensure their proper growth and development. I urge Eco Generation member to plant as much tree as possible, if not plant at least a plant and contribute for environment in their birthday. I believe that you must spend your birthday doing wonderful things: planting trees. Tree acts as a carbon storage tank and oxygen providing agent. Thank you for your eco activity.
