LPG gas simply propane or butane is a flammable mixture of hydrocarbon gases used as a fuel in heating appliances and vehicles. LPG gas is also widely used in the kitchen for cooking food. LPG gas is prepared. LPG gas is heavier than air, high energy fuel, stored under pressure as liquid, large vapor to liquid ratio, vapor form in atmospheric conditions, when placed under pressure in cylinders it is stored as liquid. It is very light in weight and non-corrosive. If there is any ignition source, LPG gas can explode. The suffocation due to LPG displacing air, causing a decrease in oxygen concentration. It is also used in electric generation, chemical feed stocks, crop drying and so on. LPG vehicles do not require any special catalysts and LPG fuel systems are sealed and evaporative losses are negligible.Iy has clean combustion. Although, LPG gas slightly toxic it is not poisonous in vapor phase but can suffocate the people in larger concentrations.Liquefied Petroleum Gas contains a mixture of Propane and Butane; both derived from distillation of crude oil. In terms of the by-products of their combustion, the only gas that is released is CO2. So, yes, LPG as fuel will generate Carbon Dioxide which is an efficient greenhouse gas. With its tiny carbon footprint and high efficiency, LPG can play a major role in fighting climate change. Burning most fuels used in the world today, from coal to wood, oil, gasoline and natural gas, produces various kinds of carbon that contribute to global warming as Greenhouse gas (GHG). LPG has a lower carbon content than gasoline, diesel, kerosene and ethanol.Natural gas primarily causing methane gas. One kilogram of methane released into the atmosphere produces the same effect on climate change as 25 kilograms of carbon dioxide. LPG, on the other hand, is not a greenhouse gas when released. The difference is in how quickly propane, compared to natural gas, can be removed from the air by natural oxidation or precipitation. Propane is removed from the atmosphere faster than it takes for it to have an impact on the climate. It is known that LPG emits less than half the greenhouse gas emissions, kilowatt for kilowatt, than coal-fired power plants, but there are many other applications in which propane outperforms other energy sources. LPG have a variety of applications and is employed across many different markets. As it is a clean-burning, sustainable and efficient fuel source of energy it is use for cooking, in the agricultural, recreation, hospitality, construction, sailing and fishing sectors, among others. Therefore, the LPG industry plays an important role in economic and social development on the society. Source: |

Hi Meena Pandey, this is a mentor, Sang Su Lee.
Thank you for explaining some benefits of using LPG instead of other fuels. I did not know that using LPG can contribute to the environmental health regarding green house gas emission. This article is quite informative.
Green cheers~!

Hello Meena Pandey, this is mentor Taehyun!
Thank you for your opinion on LPG. Many say LPG is definitely natural gas, which is more beneficial to the environment than gasoline or diesel. But in addition, when you completely burn the carbon compounds distilled from oil, all of the fuel releases a product called carbon dioxide and water. This is a self-evident fact, which is not important, but incomplete combustion occurs during the fuel combustion process, or nitrogen in the air or other components are modified in the engine room of high fever to make nitrogen oxides. This happens in all internal combustion engines, so we need to develop a technology that can reduce it.
Thank you for the report!
Green cheers!

Hello Meena pandey,
Thanks for sharing an informative writing on LPG,
LPG could be an alternative for many applications used for the cooking process with less carbon footprints in the environment,
keep Writing,
Looking forward to read more in coming days,
Yours,
